Brierty minimises environmental impacts of its activities by developing and complying with site-specific environmental management plans in accordance with relevant environmental legislation and client requirements.

The company’s formal commitment is documented in its Environmental Policy and evidenced by certification to AS/NZS ISO 14001:2004.

An environmental management plan is developed for all projects to make certain works are performed in compliance with the principles and objectives of sustainable development and to ensure the minimisation of environment-related risks to the client and other stakeholders.

This involves integration of:
  • Legislative and regulatory requirements;
  • Environmental approval and license requirements,
  • Environmental values;
  • Preventative and control measures; and
  • Community needs and project requirements.
