Brierty is committed to the principle that all occupational injury and illness can be prevented.

The company’s objective of zero harm is underpinned by the company’s Health and Safety Policy that provides for:

  • Developing and implementing health and safety management systems;
  • Regularly monitoring and reviewing the policy and health and safety systems for continued improvement;
  • Establishing measurable objectives and targets for continued improvement;
  • Identifying and controlling health and safety risks;
  • Providing adequate resources, including supervision, to meet policy objectives; and
  • Ensuring that everyone, including suppliers and subcontractors, is responsible for: working in a safe manner, following safety rules, participating in safety training, and identifying and reporting hazards.

Brierty’s Safety Management System is certified to AS/NZS 4801:2001. Brierty is also certified to the Australian Government Occupational, Health and Safety Scheme.
