The company’s objective of zero harm is underpinned by the company’s Health and Safety Policy that provides for:
- Developing and implementing health and safety management systems;
- Regularly monitoring and reviewing the policy and health and safety systems for continued improvement;
- Establishing measurable objectives and targets for continued improvement;
- Identifying and controlling health and safety risks;
- Providing adequate resources, including supervision, to meet policy objectives; and
- Ensuring that everyone, including suppliers and subcontractors, is responsible for: working in a safe manner, following safety rules, participating in safety training, and identifying and reporting hazards.
Brierty’s Safety Management System is certified to AS/NZS 4801:2001. Brierty is also certified to the Australian Government Occupational, Health and Safety Scheme.
