Brierty is committed to the principle that all occupational injury and illness can be prevented.

The company’s objective of zero harm is underpinned by the company’s Health and Safety Policy that provides for:

  • Developing and implementing safety and health management systems;
  • Identifying and controlling safety and health risks;
  • Providing adequate resources, including supervision, to meet policy objectives;
  • Ensuring that everyone, including suppliers and subcontractors, are responsible for: working in a safe manner, following safety rules, participating in safety training, and identifying and reporting hazards;
  • Establishing measurable objectives and targets for continued improvement;
  • Regularly monitoring and reviewing these policies and systems for continued improvement; and
  • Comply with all applicable legislative standards, Company requirements and contractual obligations.

Brierty’s Safety Management System is certified to AS/NZS 4801:2001. Brierty is also certified to the Australian Government Occupational, Health and Safety Scheme.
