Appointment of Company Director
Mr O’Shannassy is a commercial lawyer with over 25 years experience in the mining and energy sectors. He has advised resource companies on a broad range of corporate and commercial matters while in private legal practice. He has also held in-house roles as General Counsel and Company Secretary for Hardman Resources Limited, BHP Iron Ore and Mt Newman Mining Co Pty Limited.
He has served on mining industry committees over a number of years and is also a member of the Law Society of WA (Inc) and the Australian Mining and Petroleum Law Association Inc. He is currently a non-executive Director of Minemakers Limited.
In announcing the appointment, Brierty Chairman Dalton Gooding said Mr O’Shannassy is a valuable addition to the Board.
“Richard’s extensive legal and commercial experience in the mining industry will be of particular benefit to Brierty as we move into this next period of growth,” Mr Gooding said.
