The project involved upgrading 85 kilometres of single lane, unsealed local road from Perenjori to Extension Hill in WA's Midwest region.
The scope of works involved the widening and overlay of the existing road as well as the construction and stabilisation of floodways to allow Mount Gibson Mining to use the route as their main haul route.
The works included:
- Bulk Earthworks;
- Pavement construction / stabilisation
- Culverts and drainage structures;
- Road formation;
- Traffic management; and
- Institu / precast concrete structures (minor).
The team were responsible for working under live traffic environment whilst maintaining public and construction traffic flows. The Haul Road Upgrade was designed and built in accordance with the Main Roads WA standards of rural roads.
