Lakelands is located just north of Mandurah in the fast developing Peel Region. Brierty won the tender for Stage 1 Bulk Earthworks for the display village and residential works with subsequent works being negotiated.

Stringent environmental constraints exist within the project and Brierty's effort in managing these has been recognised in the project receiving an Environmental Excellence Award in 2005 and Sustainable Urban Development Award in 2006 from the Urban Development Institute of Australia.
