Brierty undertook the construction of the Stage 2 downstream raising of the perimeter embankment associated with Tailings Storage Facility 7 located at Newcrest’s Telfer Gold Mine.

The works comprised the raising of the circular perimeter embankments by 5m from its current crest level of RL5495m to a maximum crest level of RL5500m.

TSF7 is surrounded by a large mine waste dump, with the works involving the placement and compaction of an inner annulus formed around the inside of the waste dump.
