Our Training Personnel are qualified assessors who provide training, guidance and support to mobile plant operators.
Supervisors and managers have the opportunity to complete Cert IV to a Diploma in Frontline Management.
Supervisors and managers have the opportunity to complete a Cert IV to an Advanced Diploma of Project Management.
Personal Performance & Development Planning
We offer the ability for an employee to design and agree with their manager their own Performance and Development Plan.
Although BYL is very much a team-orientated organisation, we recognise that every individual has different strengths and weaknesses - that's why we offer tailored performance development programs. We know that different people have their own ambitions and aspirations, which is why we give everybody the freedom to pursue defined career paths.
This ensures the development, career paths and aspirations of our people are driven by the very people that are following that path, and we believe that everyone should own and manage their own career. To compliment this we ensure a wide range of programs and support is given to all team members in the process of designing and determining their plan.
Each member of staff is regularly appraised including at the end of an employee’s probationary period, and on an annual basis, to discuss performance and development plans. Key performance indicators and goals are also reviewed to ensure alignment towards achieving any agreed objectives.
Direction and support
Direction and support is provided through mentor, coach and buddy schemes, and via regular appraisals with line managers.
In addition to these initiatives, tailored training for all of our new starters, including refresher inductions and BYL policy and procedure awareness training are provided.
